This lighting renovation covered an 8-story apartment building with a total of 40 residential units, including private apartment rooms, floor corridors, public rest areas and entrance halls. We have adopted a modern lighting solution without a main light: stretched ceiling aluminum profiles + magnetic rail lighting + anti-glare recessed downlights. This project has achieved a unified aesthetic standard, comfortable layered lighting and long-term energy-saving operation of the entire building.

Project background

This multi-storey apartment building is a medium-sized residential community, focusing on long-term rentals and boutique apartment accommodation. The original ceiling and lighting systems have typical problems of old residential projects, seriously affecting the living comfort and the overall architectural grade

• Outdated ceiling: Traditional gypsum ceilings show problems such as cracks, peeling, uneven surfaces, and yellowing. The overall flatness is poor and the lines are messy.
• Single-plane lighting: Relying on ordinary ceiling main lights for a long time, the space lacks light layers, resulting in a dull and lifeless indoor atmosphere.
• Poor lighting comfort: Ordinary lamps have obvious glare and flicker problems, which can easily cause eye fatigue and affect residents' daily rest and study.
• Low flexibility: The fixed positions of the lamps cannot adapt to the optimization of the indoor layout and cannot form targeted local lighting.
